Robert E. Ammons is the founding partner of The Ammons Law Firm. He earned his B.A. from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, before continuing his legal education at Baylor University School of Law on an academic scholarship. During law school, Rob served as Editor of the Baylor Law Review, was a member of the Order of the Barristers, and participated in the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. He graduated cum laude in 1988 and was selected as a Briefing Attorney for the Texas Supreme Court.
Since 1991, Rob has dedicated his career to representing individuals who have suffered severe injuries in product liability litigation. He holds Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is also Board Certified in Civil Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Recognized for his legal excellence, he has earned an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest distinction in peer-reviewed ratings. Additionally, Rob is a distinguished member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Rob’s legal achievements include securing landmark verdicts, such as an $82.5 million award for a fatal natural gas processing plant explosion in Mineral Wells, Texas—Petrie v. Hanover, a case honored in the Texas Verdict Hall of Fame. He also played a pivotal role in obtaining a $50.65 million verdict in the Sutherland Springs Church Shooting case, marking the first instance in U.S. history where the federal government was held liable for a mass shooting after a 27-day trial.
